The TransEra GPIB cable is double-shielded to keep the cable capacitance below the IEEE specification of 150pF/m and to reduce radiated emissions. These cables will always keep up with the maximum IEEE data transfer rate. This low radiated emissions design has helped systems pass MIL-STD-461A, VDE 0871, and VDE 0875.
Besides superior electrical properties, these cables have been designed to last. The shielded connector is nickel-plated and has butt-jointed seams to prevent corrosion and add durability. The two lock screws in each connector have the ISO metric thread M3.5x0.6 or equivalent O.M.F.S. thread 3.5PO.6 to assure a reliable and positive connection of multiple cable assemblies.
The cable is designed to have a bending radius at the connector of only 50 mm (2.0 in) for flexibility in tight places. The GPIB cables are available in two lengths, 2 meters and 4 meters.
